Jim Rutherford, Senior Warden
Jim was raised in the Anglican Church. He spent his high school years at Saint James an Episcopal Boarding School in Hagerstown, Maryland and received his Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degrees in Theoretical Mathematics at Indiana State University. After 35 years in industry working in research and development, IBM management, owner of a software company and a construction company, he decided to go into education where he has been for 15 years at the college level. He is currently a Senior Lecturer of Math for Computing in the College of Computing and Software Engineering at Kennesaw State University.
Jim and his wife, Becky, have been active in church since singing in the choir during college. They were both active in the Episcopal renewal movement and help plant two churches in the Atlanta area before joining Resurrection almost 10 years ago. Jim has served in vestries at several churches and Senior Warden in each of them.
Jim and Becky have three grown children and four grandchildren ranging in age from three years to seventeen years. All of the family live within ten minutes of their home. The Lord and His church have always been at the center of their lives and they both wish to continue to serve as the Lord leads them.
Henry Holliman, Jr. Warden
Henry and his wife Pat are long time members of Resurrection. Henry is retired from a career at Sears. They reside in Cobb County.
Dick Fossum, Treasurer
Dick was a part of the renewal movement in the 1970s and 80s. He moved to Georgia from Darien, Connecticut, in 2002 with his wife, Joan. They have three married sons and six grandchildren. He is retired but continues to work in the area of his giftedness. He is on the Board of Directors and treasurer of the Mustard Seed Project, which serves the people of Uganda and Rwanda. The Sonrise School is in Rwanda. He has been an active part of Resurrection since the beginning.
Dick is passionate about his relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and has been serving him and his people for over forty years. In addition to being treasurer at Resurrection, he has served as Senior Warden for two terms and as a Vestry member.
Joe grew up in Decatur, Georgia and attended college for one year before joining the Naval Air Reserve in 1969. He joined the Army Guard in 1981 as a MP and then a Gunner in Tanks in 1987. In 1997 he reenlisted with the Navy and deployed overseas in 2001 as a 1st Class Petty Officer retiring from service in 2003 with 24 yrs service. After his first tour of duty he hired on with a Telephone Company working in the Southeast and retired with 30 yrs service as an Electronic Technician. He attended a Southern Baptist Church up until he joined the military and was saved when a Free Methodist pastor led him to the Lord in 1980. He has an Associates Degree in Christian Ed from Emmanuel Bible College and is CompTIA A+ Certified. Joe is married to Sue his High School sweetheart and they will celebrate their 8th anniversary this year. Together they have 5 children and 10 grandchildren (with one on the way!). A close friend invited them to the Anglican Church in 2014 and now Joe serves as a Lay Eucharist Minister.
Merritt and her husband John have been members of Resurrection for a couple of years. They are both active in leadership and look forward to serving the Lord together.
Jonathan has been passionate about music since he was a child, and has been helping lead worship music since he was in middle school. He first became a music director during college at a small Baptist church outside Athens, GA, and then after having come to Anglicanism, he again served as music director at Church of the Ascension (ACNA) in Arlington, VA. He is married to his wife Ashley of almost 10 years, and they have two young children. In his day job, he does finance for Kimberly-Clark Corp. in Roswell.
